3-D Print Show London F8/11/13

It was pretty spectacular to see so many of the 3-D printed objects id been seeing crop up online for the last two years in real life. Attending the show I think I gained a better insight into just how big 3-D printing is, the next industrial revolution surely. It was interesting to see how many of the companies there were originally kickstarter projects or crowdsourced in some way.

One criticism of the show from a student point of view was that it seemed mostly to be geared towards selling printers and products much more so than just displaying and explaining or showing off. I sound it difficult to just talk to some stalls as they came on strong with the technical jargon and the aim of selling me a printer. All in all though it was quite impressive and exciting to get up close and to see the range of experimentation and exploration of potential applications going on in the 3-D printing world.ImageImageImageImageImage
